Javelin Racing Team, Inc. was established for 1968 with Jim Jeffords as president and Ron Kaplan as VP and Technical Wizard. Drivers were George Follmer in #4 and Peter Revson in #3. Revson finished 2nd at Meadowdale. Follmer was DQed.
Donohue ran away with the 1968 Trans-Am series. Javelin and Mustang fought hard for second all season, with Javelin third at the end.
Start of the TransAm race. This is the only picture I have seen of the track without the Monza Wall. See the cars coming around the flat corner at the upper left of the photo. That is the area of the flattened Monza Wall. This was taken from the grandstands on the east side of the main straight, just before the start-finish line.
